Versatile and empathetic, drummer Jan Zeimetz seamlessly navigates across various genres and musical landscapes. With an innate ability to adapt to different musical situations, Zeimetz effortlessly delivers his dynamic rhythms and expressions. Recently, he has embarked on his own project, Dreamliner, showcasing his creative prowess and unique musical vision.
As an educator, Zeimetz is dedicated to using storytelling as a means to bring joy and healing to his listeners. Through his performances and compositions, he aims to connect with audiences on a deeper level, inspiring them to embark on their own musical journeys.
Zeimetz's performances have graced stages at prominent pop festivals like the Hurricane Festival and jazz festivals in Estonia, as well as jazz clubs in Korea. He has collaborated with esteemed artists including Nils Landgren, China Moses, Lionel Loueke, Lage Lund, Uli Kempendorff, and Filip Dinev.
With over two decades of drumming experience, Zeimetz began his musical journey at the age of six. He honed his skills at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and the CNSMD Paris. Currently based in Basel, Switzerland, Zeimetz continues to captivate audiences with his innovative approach to music.
